Hello. I am now out from under my rock. Phew. What a ride.
This past week John and I have been working on a tribute to the men, women and children who lost their lives in the mass shooting in Christchurch. I think I might have left a piece of my soul in the fabric of this song. Preparing this song took a lot out of me, but it was cathartic at the same time. I am so grateful to John for agreeing to walk this road with me. Please help us spread the love by sharing this link.
Fantastic!! Love the little falsetto notes Jenn!! Sweet acoustic guitar John! Very well done!!!
If I had to "nit-pick" I would suggest checking your bass register. I'm sure it sounds great with a sub but on the small system I'm currently using (8" woofers) it booms and drones a bit 🙂
Hey thanks for the feedback Tony. I was concerned about the bass line and messed with it quite a bit until I had it sounding ok through the usual phone, car, home stereo, computer speakers tests that I do. I'll give it another go before it goes on the album.

Hello John and Jen,
No critique here, just tears and prayers for the victims, admiration for a nation that rallied around survivors and families, and disdain for the cowards who preyed upon the innocent. Thank you both for this powerful song and video, I only wish those with hate in their hearts could see and hear this, and realize what they do is not what God intended. Again, Thank you, Thank you. Best wishes,

Bless you Deacon. Indeed it was not what He intended. There's this wonderful story out now about a young man who associated with overseas extremists in an online community. They had recruited him on the Internet and incited him to commit hate crimes in this country (scary eh). As a minor, he was put under court supervision. He's been under supervision for a couple years now. Apparently when he saw the news stories of the attacks and discovered that he actually knew some of the victims and saw how his countrymen responded with love, he broke down, realizing how very wrong he had been to hate. Good story eh
Ooo, yeah. That'd be a hard one.
