Had the day off so I wrote and recorded this. It’s weird even by my standards, but I think it’s fairly catchy. Wondering if anyone could tell me what the genre is, b/c I’ve got absolutely no clue.

Hiya Rhys. The beat sounds pop-ish, but the vocal melody is not pop so that's not a very good fit. How about "experimental folk" or maybe the catch-all label "indie."

Thanks! Tbh I’ve grown to hate this song anyways, so I’m probably not going to bother finding a proper label for it, but I do appreciate it! Useful link 😛

Haha, that’s an interesting combination but I sorta see it! I thought the keyboard was sort of interesting, but I think I’ve been experimenting a bit too liberally recently. Listened to some older songs and realized I haven’t been doing my best writing, so I’m going back to the ol’ acoustic and shoddy vocals thing and focusing on recording some of the older stuff better. Pardon my rambling, been a long day
