You write a lot of great lyrics, Carroll, but every so often you deliver a clunker LOL. This falls into the category of non-specific downer. I can't imagine why anyone would want to sing a song with the line "Loathing and self-pity" in it. Don't let MAB see this or he'll lecture you about negative songs until your ears ring.
You could try giving us a reason why the singer feels this way, or you could just forget about this one.

Thanks for the honesty. I'm struggling with writers block. A drowning man grasping at straws.
