Verse
Eden was a fertile garden.
Was the birthplace of sin.
Nobody locked the garden gate.
And satan walked right in.
Pre chorus
He offered a bite to Eve.
Said come enjoy the fruit.
She handed it to Adam
And sin grew it's first root.
Chorus
It tasted sweet they loved it.
Although it brought them woe.
God banished them from Eden
And sin began to grow.
Verse
Mankind was a fallow meadow
For the planting of sin.
Sunny days and pleasant weather
Were just about to end.
Pre chorus
The devil planted evil.
Yes Eve was so naive.
God banished them from heaven
And sin grew its first leaves.
Chorus
It tasted sweet they loved it
Although it brought them woe.
God banished them from Eden.
Roots began to grow.

Me thinking. Clunk , clunk , grind shudder. Really don't know. Wish i could imagine them with a melody! Sure would help.

If you'd like to learn to write a melody and you're not a musician, I'd recommend picking a genre (any genre), finding your favourite tune in the genre, then singing your lyrics to that tune. Play around with how the words fit to that song, where to sustain a word, where to clip it. Then, you can start adding some variation to the melody. Or, if you're not feeling confident to add variation, go find another tune and sing it to that tune. You certainly don't want your melody to sound like your favourite song, but it's a way to get your mind thinking about melody.

Verse
Eden was a thriving garden.
it Was the birthplace of sin.
Nobody locked the garden gate.
And satan jus slithered in.
Pre chorus
He offered first bite to Eve.
Said come enjoy the fruit.
She handed it over to Adam
And sin grew it's first root.
Chorus
It tasted sweet they loved it.
Although it brought them woe.
God banished them from Eden
As sin began to grow.
Verse
Mankind was a barren meadow
For the planting of sin.
Sunny days and pleasant weather
Were just about to end.
Pre chorus
The devil planted evil.
Yes Eve was so naive.
God banished them from heaven
And sin grew its first leaves.
Chorus
It tasted sweet they loved it
Although it brought them woe.
God banished them from Eden.
Roots began to grow.
Yeah i like satan slithered in.
carroll kiphen
If you go with "Satan slithered," you can make the singer's and sound engineer's job a whole lot easier if the melody doesn't rush over those lines. If the melody requires the singer to rush through those lines, you'll just end up with a sibilant mess. It's a great line. Just keep sibilance in mind when you write the melody.

if ya don't like slithered maybe try ambled
- No slithered sounds better
carroll kiphen
Ha! Slithered is great. Just talking about melody development from a singer's/producer's p.o.v. It's easy enough to perform if the melody is sympathetic to the potential for the Ssss to become overbearing.

Verse
Mankind was a fallow meadow.
Ripe for planting sin.
Sunny days and pleasant weather
Were about to end.
Pre chorus
This poison would take its toll.
Brought god’s wrath raining down.
Evil took root in the garden
It tainted holy ground.
Chorus
It tasted sweet they loved it
Though it brought them woe.
God banished them from Eden.
Roots began to grow.
Bridge
In every field, every forest and meadow
It spread all around the world.
The fruit of desire’s the ruin of mankind
All thanks to one foolish girl.
