Hell. Keep both versions. They're both pretty damn good! Just depends on the preference of the listener.

I like both.

In the band version, you could maybe try bringing the piano up in the mix and get the best of both worlds. You might also consider using the instruments available to generate a little more lift on the chorus the first time around.

I thought you were going to go with ""For a moment I thought I saw a tear" instead of "It wouldn't have shocked me to see some tears."

Great job, guys!

I may or may not be an enigma

Thanks guys for the feedback. I also prefer the band version, at least at the moment I do. Thanks Gavin for your comments on the music. I put in some additional piano playing in the first chorus. I uploaded the new version (same URL).

All the best
Robert

Oj, I am not really into Blues, so I have to admit, I didn´t knew Elmore J...

I like the melody of the song and the Feeling it delivers.  Both versions are good. Well produced. Cool!

The lyrics are good. 95 % of them are really amazing. I am not so fancy about this one line "He sang the song of HIS people"... why would you want to divide it into "his" and "my"?

The song of his people refers to how the blues came to be. It's not meant in a divisive  way. We can empathize with their struggles but living it is different from empathizing with it. I really didn't write the lyrics in the correct format to be a true blues song so it made Roberts task harder.
