Welcome to the Junction, Amanda. Nice to have you here. You will have noticed that it took a little while for your first post to appear. This is because first posts need moderation. It's an anti-spam thing. Future posts should appear straight away, although sometimes the second post also needs moderation - not quite sure why.

Hello Amanda,

Glad to have you hear. There are a lot of old coots here (myself included) who have been through and seen it all in the world of writing and business of music. All styles, all ages, all types of people and music. So it might help us to help you if you talked a little about yourself, what you write, what your problems or stumbling blocks are and what you would like to talk about that can help you. Always a good way to interact and get to know people is to describe what you are doing. Asking questions is a great way to get to know people. And feel free to ask other people about their own experiences and musical journey.

Glad you're here.

If you notice here, this is more or less the problem with these types of posts. Someone announces they are "here", a couple of people reach out to them, and they are never heard from again. The general problem most people have when it comes to music, is that they don't realize the amount of work and effort it takes to communicate with others, to actually learn anything or make any inroads. It's why the basic involvement of most people in music is just a little bit.

I hope the person who posted re-connects, but experience doesn't leave much hope.

MAB
