How Love Dies

Sitting right here on our couch

You at your end

Me at mine

Not a word spoken

No conversation

That's how love dies.

Sitting right here on our couch.

No holding hands.

No kissing.

You in your World

Me in mine.....

That's how love dies.

Sitting right here on our couch.

No gentle touch.

No feelings.

All seems lost....

Hurtful words.

That's how love dies.

If only we could start once again..

Maybe we could spark another flicker inside.

If only we would take the time to heal...

Just maybe love would kindle

Sitting right here on our couch.

You don't hear me.

Won't hear you.

It burns deep inside.

No peace no calm

That's how love dies.

Sitting right here on our couch.

Sad angry words.

No contentment.

It's hurting us both.

No love no touch

That's how love dies.

If only we could start once again..

Maybe we could spark another flicker inside.

If only we would take the time to heal...

Just maybe love would kindle

Sitting right here on our couch

No forgiveness

No time to care.

You cry in the dark

I cry alone.

That's how love dies.

Sitting right here on our couch.

No fire left.

No desire.

Only emptyness.

All around

That's how love dies.

If only we could start once again..

Maybe we could spark another flicker inside.

If only we would take the time to heal...

Just maybe love would kindle.

Lots of Verses. I wonder how long it would take to execute. And some Lines may be saying the same thing that's already been said. If it's too long you could pick the best Lines, the best Verses, and shorten it to a radio-friendly length. Depending on delivery, it may not be too long. Just a thought.

Despite 1,000's of years of Songwriting humans have not exhausted the possibilities. There will always be another Song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com
