I watched a documentary about bullying the other night and it really moved me. It also got me to thinking of people I know who are living lives of quiet desperation and maybe could do with hearing words like these.
The lyrics are really clear in the recording, but here they are anyway. It's a work in progress, so all comments and suggestions are appreciated, as always.
I'M HERE (WONDERFUL)
When you're lonely
Feels like nobody is on your side
The night is darker
And the stars don't seem to shine so bright
Just remember
That you're not alone
I'm here
When you're broken
Into pieces that are scattered on the floor
I will mend you
Be the friend who shows up at your door
So just remember
You still have me
I'm here
I'm here to let you know that you are wonderful
And this seems like the time for me to say
The world is better far because of who you are
And tomorrow will be a brighter day
So if you need me
Just call me and you know that I’ll be there
In a hurry
There’s no worry you can’t share
And remember
You’ll always have me
I’m here
I'm here to let you know that you are wonderful
And this seems like the time for me to say
The world is better far because of who you are
And tomorrow will be a brighter day
The world's a better planet because you're standing on it
And I wouldn’t have it any other way

That is so thoughtful Gavin! Is that a little tremolo I'm hearing in your voice? Great job, I'm sure Trump would appreciate it 😀

Thanks T. If there's a tremolo, it's natural rather than any added effect. My voice is a bit shaky at the best of times LOL.
I don't think Mr. Trump needs anyone to tell him he's wonderful 🙂

As a result of feedback I got elsewhere, I changed the title of this song to "I'm Here." it more closely relates to what the song is about and was actually my original idea for the title.

Enjoyed Da Listen (;LOVE IT;)Beautiful song.
Thanks Larry. I've been carrying that melody around in my head for about 40 years ever since I picked it out on an old out of tune piano in the attic of my parents' house LOL.
