Maybe someday I might go back home again,
just to see if anything still stands.
Used to know a couple o' old friends back there,
oh but I let all that slip outa my ha-ands.

I like these lyrics, Polly. A lot of good lines in there. I'm less sure about the melody. To me it drifts a bit almost like it's not sure where it's headed. This might just be me.
Ok thanks. I don't know, I kind of like the melody at least parts of it. Some people like it, but some don't. Dunno.

Yes, don't just go by what I say. That's never a good idea 🙂 I tend to go for strong, "in your face" melodies and maybe don't appreciate other kinds as much as I should.

I don't know. One friend I sent it to didn't like it at all, but didn't say why. Another two friends loved it. But the ones who loved it are real folk music lovers. My music is very often old-time sounding, and that is definitely not for everyone.
