One’s got the other in a chokehold
The bear and the bull
And so watches the mouse
This year’s body
This year’s smile
I’ve got this year’s man
Coded blinks show their significance
Well my mind’s just like a busy marketplace
But in your eyes nothin’ happening
Well..... I think I'm going to nickname you "Phoebe"
I've definitely done worse lol... Welcome to the Junction!

Nope. It's about the competitive nature of things seen by someone who wouldn't even be considered for the competition. I guess in this song you can say I'm the "mouse", if you couldn't already tell from the squeaks I try to pass off as singing 😛
The bear and the bull thing is from the way they describe markets. Competitive and stuff just as anyone can be at the workplace or school or whatever.
"This year’s body
This year’s smile
I’ve got this year’s man"
You know when two seemingly perfect people are in a relationship and it's like they're only in that relationship to look more desirable to other people? She's got this year's man because everyone wants to be with him and they look at her and they're like "Wow, she's with him, that must mean she's hot stuff." But why should either of them care? Because a lot of the things we do, we do to look good in other people's eyes. Not for our own wellbeing.
"Coded blinks show their significance
Well my mind’s just like a busy marketplace
But in your eyes nothin’ happening"
I don't know what this means, I think I need to hit my head on the sink a few times and it'll come back to me ?
"Coded blinks show their significance
Well my mind’s just like a busy marketplace
But in your eyes nothin’ happening"
"Coded blinks" is actually what made me think "phone app" lol... something digital anyway...
Tell us how you're recording, what equipment you're using, perhaps we can help you out 🙂
