Yes, if you listen closely, there's a similarity there for the first three bars, if you substitute "Try to remember the" for the one long note at the beginning of my effort. You could certainly sing it over the top of it. After that, they go their separate ways.

I made some changes to this track. The mastering is done slightly differently, but the biggest difference is that the original version featured drums - low volume but noticeable. In this version, I took them out completely. If anyone feels like helping me out, could you listen to this version (or at least some of it) and let me know which you think works better. Ok... Honestly? John's right, The drums are so basic I say leav'em in! But... and you know how I hate to criticize lol... in both versions that violin is making me grind my teeth! I think it's in the wrong register... I would try a cello with some roomverb and cut a bunch of the mid high EQ, lay it back in the mix a bit.... then brighten the piano and bring it foreword. Just my 2cents ?
