Window with a view
I’ve got a window with a view
of the lake that’s just outside.
In the morning it’s a mirror
where the world is upside down.
Round and round turned around
my dreams seem so surreal.
There’s no point in trying to explain
the feelings that I feel.
Down, down, down the waterfall
It’s a river of no return.
We’ll never be the same
Things will never be as they were.
I’ve got a window with a view
Of the way I see my life.
In the evening it’s reflections
are the moon and stars at night.
Round and round turned around
my life is like a wheel.
There’s no point in trying to explain
what you already feel.
Love me, hate me, pity me
because you see yourself in me.
We’ll always be the same
So you can blame what’s wrong on me.
