Consider your heart mine
Verse
I met a girl in the park
While I was walking the dog.
She was the moon in the sky.
I was a ship in the fog.
Pre chorus
Her smile was a beacon.
She showed me the way.
Told me don’t try speaking.
Just plow thru the waves.
Chorus
She pulled me close she kissed me.
Said consider your heart mine.
Consider your heart mine.
Verse
I saw a light in the dark.
While I was fighting a storm.
She was a star in the night.
A fire to keep me warm.
Pre chorus
Her smile was a beacon.
She showed me the way.
Told me don’t try speaking.
Just plow thru the waves.
Chorus
She pulled me close she kissed me.
Said consider your heart mine.
Consider your heart mine.
Bridge
She said I know you love the sea
But would you leave her for me?
Oh would you leave her for me?

This seems all over the place to me, Carroll. A ship in the fog seems out of place in the park walking the dog. It doesn't seem very relatable. I can't imagine walking my dog in the park and a woman coming up to me, kissing me and suggesting that my heart was hers. And if someone as handsome as me, with an even more handsome dog, can't imagine it, what is someone like JAPOV going to make of it 🙂
On rereading it I wondered if the lady was supposed to be supernatural or a vision, a kind of siren. If so, it would work better if you were walking by the sea, rather than in a park.
I may or may not be an enigma
