Can’t find my soul

Verse
The moon is a low hung lantern
On a slow walk through the night.
There are shadows and strange noises;
Eyes that mirror my life.
They’re floating about me in circles
Like big cats stalking their prey;
Not rushing to a conclusion;
Judging each move that I make.
Chorus
Each planet has an orbit;
Everything has its role
To each there is a purpose
But I can’t find my soul.
No I can’t find my soul.
Verse
Truth is a light in the darkness.
Pain is the price I pay.
The moon is the light of wisdom
I follow when I’m afraid.
The hands of time are forgotten.
The deserts are filled with sand.
I close my eyes and pray to god
And hope for a helping hand.
Chorus
Each planet has an orbit;
Everything has its role
To each there is a purpose
But I can’t find my soul.
No I can’t find my soul.
Verse
I’ve gone walking in a forest
Lost in a desert of sand;
An unreachable horizon
Far from the reach of this man.
A darkness beyond the darkness
Who’s only light is the moon;
A world of self-persecution
In the four walls of my room.
Chorus
Each planet has an orbit;
Everything has its role
To each there is a purpose
But I can’t find my soul.
No I can’t find my soul.
