This is inspired by blink more than anything. Real electronic-y tho.

Turn it up
Remember we were sixteen
When your parents left town
Planned a fat jam
invited everybody we knew
And three was still a crowd
Popped the liquor room hinge
Threw a bike lock on the fridge
Strummed a bit plugged it in
With an X2N to burn the bridge
Man I miss the way the little things all felt back then
Like all we had to do to start a punk rock band was
Turn it up
We better turn it up loud
Better play it so loud
That we shake the ground
If the roof caves in
And the walls fall down
We’re gonna turn it turn it up
Till they can feel the sound
We better turn it turn it up
We better turn it up loud
Better play it so loud
That we shake the ground
If the roof caves in
And the walls fall down
We’re gonna play it so loud
That they’re gonna have to feel the sound
Man I miss being kids
And all the pointless stupid shit
Breaking into a bus
Cuz they left it unlocked hotbox
Getting baked for the sake of it
And remember getting caught?
Like we couldn’t outrun a cop
With a clenched fist wishing it could slap on your wrist
Cranking tunes as we ran off for the sake of it we better
Turn it up
We better turn it up loud
Better play it so loud
That we shake the ground
If the roof caves in
And the walls fall down
We’re gonna turn it turn it up
Till they can feel the sound
We better turn it turn it up
We better turn it up loud
Better play it so loud
That we shake the ground
If the roof caves in
And the walls fall down
We’re gonna turn it turn it up so loud
They’re gonna have to feel the sound
I think I’ve given up tryna figure out
Why people wanna hear a hit’s a hit
Before they hear it if
If they can’t think or if they just won’t
Cuz either they don’t and if they don’t then I don’t
give a fuck what they they do or what they’re telling me to
So I’m not gonna go the way they’re saying to do you remember being sixteen what we always said we’d always do I lost it for a minute I remember now that I promised you so I’d better
Turn it up
I’d better turn it up loud
Better play it so loud
That I shake the ground
If the roof caves in
And the walls fall down
I’m gonna turn it turn it up
Till they can feel the sound
I’d better turn it turn it up
I’d better turn it up loud
Better play it so loud
That I shake the ground
If the roof caves in
And the walls fall down
I’m gonna turn it turn it up so loud
They’re gonna have to feel the sound

Hey Rhys. Cool song. I'd like to make a mixing suggestion, but I'm not sure how you're set up so what I'm saying might not be relevant to you if you're not set up to manipulate the sound in this way. My first thought when I started listening to this song was that it seems that everything (the vocal, the sound effects, the guitar) are all occupying the same sonic space. What that does is it makes the mix a little muddy and makes it harder work for the listener. Using EQ you can go in an give each instrument (including your vocals) a place in the mix while maintaining the cool layering you've got going there. Another way to separate the parts of the song is to use panning. The vocalist gets centre stage while the guitar can be placed off to the side (in stereo if you like). You should be doing both of these things (targeted EQ and panning) when the sonic range of the song is not exceptionally dynamic. At a minimum though, I'd suggest panning (that's the simpler of the two).
Cheers

Hi Rhys. Thanks for sharing but I do not know if it is me or it is the mix! I find a strange effect with the delay that dilutes the melody the voice is singing, something runs badly as if the drums were multiplied? I think maybe it's a delay problem? Or maybe it's your intention?
The lyrics are wonderful
The bad part of the doubt is that it has no face
Hey, sorry folks! Thanks for the feedback, I think I fixed the drum/mixing issue, and Jenny, I took your advice and panned the tracks, which I think opened up a fair bit of space for things to exist. Thanks!
