Lyrics below the SoundCloud window, and below them, an explanation of what I'm trying to do. It's a work in progress, but listening will definitely help give an impression. Suggestions welcome on lyrics, melody, arrangement, anything really...

Anybody who has engaged Brexit supporters in conversation will have come away disheartened by the fact that reason has no impact on them. There is no rational argument for Brexit, only a feeling, an emotional spasm. So, rather than waste my time trying to inject reason where it's not welcome, this is an attempt to inject emotion into the other side, the correct side, the side that is not willing to screw up their kids' futures because of an ill-defined emotional attachment to a past that never was, a usually unadmitted racism, or just plain stupidity. It's time to get all emotional about Europe! I'm not inviting an argument about Brexit, just explaining what the song is trying to do. Kind of an unofficial anthem that I could imagine the kids singing at anti-Brexit rallies. It avoids political points and focuses on the positives.
The last verse is supposed to have young people from various countries singing in their language. I'm just filling in until I find them. I don't actually know any Danish beyond the word for beer, so that last one is probably hopelessly mangled. .

Lyrics are brilliant up to where the language changed and i didn't understand. Hope you find someone who can fill them in tp your satisfaction. Enjoyed the melody as well. Totally suited it.

Thanks, Carroll. I think I should be able to find people to provide the voices through friends in Belgium, France and Germany (or maybe Austria, Martin?). Italian and Danish fight be more of a challenge LOL.
I'd really like to have a whole choir on the last chorus, but that might be asking a bit much 🙂

No more confused than the next person in this crazy world :). I didn't write this for me. It's for the kids, who who mostly wanted to remain in the European Union and have been shafted, and, well yes, maybe a bit of patriotism in there too because Scotland voted overwhelmingly to remain and has also been shafted. That's why I included a specific reference to Scotland, even if it's about rain!. Mostly, I just saw how weak reason is in the face of a kind of primal emotionalism, easily stoked by misinformation. Feeling is much more appealing and much less work than thinking.
The EU was of great benefit to me when I was younger and gets a bad rap because it's easy to blame for everything and little credit for all the good it has done. I reckoned it deserved an "anthem," just to cheer it up LOL. If you want to discuss that further, rather than the song itself, I'll see you over in the "off Topic" section.

That won’t be necessary Gavin. What gets me is that there’s a spark of good old fashion God given Christian common sense in what you wrote... but you don’t seem to realize it LOL ?

I don't know what happened. I was so certain that I already gave feedback on this tune but its not there. Crazy 🙂
First of all. Brexit. For two years its on the news almost every day. Brexit. Its the year 2240. The world is part of a united federation of planets. GB is still trying to leave the European Union. It is driving me nuts. 🙂
Gavin, the melody of this tune is brilliant, the lyrics are even more brilliant. It might be some of your best works. Brilliant!

Sure, Martin - absolutely. If you can get a child or young adult to sing those words, it would be great! I really want those voices to sound young.
