Some things you can’t make right
Verse
I close my eyes and try to forget
The bad things I have done.
I try to sleep and toss all night.
Pray for the rising sun.
Pre chorus
I’m sorry has done me no good.
Money can’t buy back love.
Forgiveness seems to have no price.
Seems I can’t do enough.
Chorus
Some sins are not forgiven.
Some things you can’t make right.
Verse
I turn the page and try to forget
The mean things I have said.
The hearts I broke the ones I wounded.
The ones I left for dead.
Pre chorus
I’m sorry has done me no good.
Money can’t buy back love.
Forgiveness seems to have no price.
Seems I can’t do enough.
Chorus
Some sins are not forgiven.
Some things you can’t make right.
Bridge
I scrub away at the stains
But they’re not coming clean.
The chains remain unbroken.
Regrets still haunt my dreams.
Verse
I close my eyes and try to forget
The bad things I have done.
I go to sleep and toss at night.
Pray for the rising sun.
Pre chorus
I’m sorry has done me no good.
Money can’t buy back love.
Forgiveness seems to have no price.
Seems I can’t do enough.
Chorus
Some sins are not forgiven.
- Some things you can’t make right.

Hello Carroll, I like this write, kudos. I think the bridge is excellent and ties the lyric all together. Thank you for sharing, good luck and best wishes.

Appreciate it Deacon.

Hello Carroll, I don't know if it would make any difference other that the lyric might sound more conversational, but I wonder if you changed the first and third verse to;
I close my eyes and try to forget,
the bad things I have done.
I try to sleep and toss all night,
and pray for the rising sun.
Just throwing that out there, good luck and best wishes,
