Asheville is a lovely place. Just to the west of us in the heart of the southern Blue Ridge mountains. Full of characters and a center of the craft brewing scene. It's tempting to think that the latter led to the former, but the characters were there first.
One observation - are there really any smoky bars any more. You could always change "smoky" to "stuffy" or something.
Also, note the spelling of Asheville 🙂
I may or may not be an enigma

Hey Gary, have you ever considered "re-mastering" these recordings? Just a mild treatment to accentuate the guitar and take the "pops" out of the vocal? I'd like to give that a shot for you...

Sorry Gary, I wrote that after checking 2 of your posts in a row.... I mean YOUR recordings of course ?

Actually, I lost interest in pursuing anything more than my own live performances, and perhaps recording my Songs to document them in my own sphere of action. I found out I didn't really want to be the next Britney Spears, with a global presence. I realized I'd have to have contact with too many people to pursue that line of work, and that I'm not willing to do that work.
Those grazed mic sounds, popped P's and bumped B's, and missed cues and flubbed Lyrics are probably the best they'll ever get. It was a one-take fluke recording made one Spring when I came down out of the hills and went out among 'em. Then I came home, laid down, and rested for a decade. Spring is near. I'm feeling ambition, but not very much.

Well.. If you have one of those old recordings and would like to run it through some basic processing just to hear what it would sound like, let me know ?
