"Nobody Came "
Monday mornin ten AM listnin to a good ol hymn, on the rad-i-o
Weatherman said it was nice
perfect weather to take a ride, get out and go

But nobody came today to visit
same as it was last week
I've still got the same place and number ,but nobody came today for me

You could make it about someone who is always getting put down and people say negative things about. Then when he passes away suddenly he becomes this saint.

this way those who have experiebced this will relate to it more than just doing a specific person, and it makes it timeless too

- Believe me it hits home with me but im not sure the younger people will relate as strongly.
Im guilty of writing things that resonate with me personally but that won't to a broader audience. Then again i don't really care if my stuff ever sells anything. That ship sailed a long time ago.
