My Epiphany

I was watching clouds evolving 
Slowly changing shapes. 
A dragon then a unicorn 
A child an old man’s face. 
Like a water color painting 
Splashed across the sky 
Just begging to be understood 
Not over analyzed.

I felt intoxicated 
But not the way you’d think. 
I wasn’t high on drugs 
I hadn’t touched a drink.

These self-illuminating lights;
Enlightening my mind.
