Love is dead
Been drifting for a while now.
We’re together but we’re not.
We’re still dancing, pretending.
Holding on to what we’ve got.
Guess we’re hoping for a miracle.
For rescue to arrive.
Grasping at straws, barely hanging on.
Hoping love will survive.
A world apart two broken hearts
Sharing the same bed.
Neither of us, neither of us
Knows that love is dead.
Been praying but losing faith.
The way that we were taught.
We’re still sleeping together.
Trying to find what we lost.
Guess we’re hoping for a miracle.
For rescue to arrive.
Grasping at straws, barely hanging on.
Hoping love will survive.
A world apart two broken hearts
Sharing the same bed.
Neither of us, neither of us
Knows that love is dead.
The seas have gotten stormy.
We know the end is here.
Let’s face it, it is over.
There’s nothing for us here.
Love is dead.

Hey Carroll,
I hope you enjoyed Christmas.
I'm playing around with this lyric of yours and noticed an issue with the rhyme scheme. In the first verse lines 2 and 4 have rhymes: not-got
In the second verse your rhyme doesn't work for me: not-lost.
Let me know if you come up with something better because sometimes things happen when I play around with a lyric :).
All the best
