Doubtful Thomas

The angels appeared to Mary.
Right by the tombstone...
They said Why seekest thee..
The living amoung the dead.
He is not here but is risen.
Mary don't tarry
Run and tell the others
What you've seen today.

Mary turned around to go...
Thought she seen the gardener.
But it was Jesus standing there.
He said why weepest thou.
She said please tell me where you laid Him.
Mary don't tarry
Run and tell the others
What you've seen today.

Mary knew it was Jesus
Mary ran and told the others.
But they didn't believe it...
Even Thomas said unless I dip my finger
Into His nailprints and into His side
I won't believe.
Sometimes we're like Thomas.
Doubting the word of God.

We call him doubtful Thomas
But he wasn't the only one.
We call him doubtful Thomas
But don't be so hard on him
We call him doubtful Thomas

Blessed are they
Who have not seen
But yet believe.
