They buried Mary.
So many years ago.
But to her daddy
It still feels like yesterday.
He's never been the same.
And he still looks for her.
Each and everyday.
Over and over again.
He hears their conversation.
Playing over inside his head.

Couldn't find the killer.
Thought he got away with murder.
But they're still looking.
The police just reopen the case.
Swore they would get him.
No matter how long it took.
Found new evidence.
And now he's doing life.
They said at least now there's closure.
But Mary's daddy still hears

They laid him to rest last Sunday
As he stepped through that golden gate.
Into eternity
There was Mary Waiting for him.

Oh what a reunion.
Oh Hallelujah
He finally found Mary.
Oh what a day.
