Pawn Shop Diamond Ring.
It was just a pawn shop diamond ring.
He put on her finger that day.
But it meant the World to her...
Bought it on the coldest day of winter.
December 1969.
It was just a pawn shop diamond ring.
Bought it in St.Louis....
Round the corner of Main and vine.
In a Wedding Chapel the very next day.
They said their vows and then just walked away...
It was just a pawn shop diamond.
But it meant so much to her.
Dreaming of the day she has a house full of kids.
Wishing for true happiness.
In this house of love.
Dreaming of foreverand the day to happiness.
