One Night Stand
When we were first married.
We bought this little Bungalow.
In that bedroom we slept in.
There was only room for that one night stand.
We had to even sqeeze that in.
On that one night stand beside me.
Stands a picture of you so lovely.
You look so much like an angel.
On the dresser was a picture of me.
You pleaded for a one night stand of your own.
So I bought a bigger home to keep you satisfied.
And you got your one night stand.
On your one night stand is a picture of me.
Everytime I look at it.
My pictures faced down on the stand
You claim it falls over all the time.
I overheard you say to him.
All I want is a one night stand.
And I heard you call him Jim.
Whatever happen to my golden band.
As you hang up the phone.
You say thanks for the one night stand.
Oh now I know
That one night stand you wanted.
Ain't made out of wood at all.
But flesh and bones.
Flesh and bones meet flesh and bones.
Now I know why my picture.
Is faced down on your one night stand
