Will love keep growing stronger?

Will it start to fade?

Will you still belive in us?

When we're old and grey.

Just a thought.

Hello Carroll, I like this suggestion.  Would you mind if I changed it a little?

Will love keep on growing,

or will it start to fade?

Will we still believe in us,

when we're old and grey?

Time may change the way we look

It might not treat us kind.

But true love perserveres

Outlasts the tests of time.

Hello Carroll,

It does have a bridge, however as I understand it from Johns last post, the bridge will be an instrumental bridge, a solo, which sounds like a good idea to me, or at least the way I hear it in my mind.  Best wishes,

Hey guys. The way I'm hearing this is a few different ways. The bridge is technically from 1:40 to 2:15. In my mind I should probably place the guitar solo over the second half of that (1:57 - 2:15). This would mean that most likely there would be some vocal over the first half. If this is done the the song would have 4 choruses. That is too many but the last one does fade out and the could just be some variation of the previous choruses to make it different. In this current version of the song I'm am playing the guitar solo over the 3rd chorus (2:16 - 2:39). Now I could leave it there but then I think the bridge would be too long.

I recommend moving the guitar solo to the 2nd half of the bridge 1:57 - 2:15. I'm still in Chicago but i fly home tomorrow and will have all weekend to mess with this.

As I mentioned I think in an earlier post the guitar solo itself will definitely change. It's not good enough and was just thrown it to show where it could go. So I'll try to bang out a different one over the weekend.

Hello John,

Looking forward to hearing your changes.  I've moved a little further on with the lyrics though they may change with your changes, here's what I have so far, let me know if you want any changes.

If I took you by the hand,
would you follow me?
Across the universe,
from A to Z.
Would you dance sweet innocence,
with me all the way?
From here to evermore,
when we're old and grey,
when we're old and grey.

If you laugh no matter why,
I would laugh with you.
And if you cry I'd dry your eyes,
then I'd cry with you.
I would dance sweet innocence,
with you all the way.
From here to evermore,
when we're old and grey,
when we're old and grey.

Best wishes,

Looks good! I spent the weekend finalizing the ES song Christchurch. This week I'll move onto Old and Grey. I'll post an update soon.

ooh old and grey.

In the end when our eyes are dim,
and memories start to fade.
We'll hold each other close,
and remember yesterday.
We'll both dance sweet innocence,
together all the way.
From here to evermore,
when we're old and grey,
when we're old and grey.

Hi John, nice track and a very nice idea. Yes, these moments are wonderful, they keep us warm when looking back. Personally, I am at the moment in which I need to invent a long future together with my love that softens the fear of the loss of the other, the lyric comes to me and goes from my head, I will catch it!!

I can't wait to hear this one. That's a really great lyric, Deac! Who's going to sing it?

I may or may not be an enigma

Thank you all, however it's not finished yet, we really haven't married the lyric to the music, and there might be additional changes if John is happy with the lyrics.

Gav, these lyrics can be sung by either gender, I think Jen would really sound great on this one, ( hint hint ).  Best wishes,
