Just a music sample thus far. No vocals or lead guitar.
Joshua's Creed: The Divided State of America
Sounds awesome. I can't wait to hear the finished product Derek. How are the vocals coming along?
Thanks, John! We're on hold again. The vocalist we've had on deck was banking on being able to use his studio time for JC's songs but they will only let him work on his own material. I'm not sure why but that's their deal. Unfortunately he doesn't have the gear to record vocals at home nor the funds to pick up what he needs.

Oh man that is frustrating. Did you ever give thought to having more than one singer? I was just thinking because isn't your son a singer? Maybe he could sing one or two, then this other guy could sneak in some studio time for another one or two, etc.
Do you guys have all of the music recorded already for the album? Is it just the singer you need at this point?
Maybe we can start a go fund me to get your guy a decent mic he could use at home.
Awesome sneek peek, looking forward to hearing the finished piece, Thank you for sharing, good luck and best wishes,

John: I've actually thought about doing something like that for him. He's a roofer by day so he's in the famine part of the job because of the weather. My son is busy working on his own music, learning the trade of piano tuning and prepping for the birth of his son this summer.
Most of the music is done. Have 2 more songs to complete. The others just need lead guitar and vocals. Joaquin is working on the guitar part.
"D", this old guy finally got to hear just a small sound bite of your music and I have to admit you truly do like it hard.... your music D..... your music (forgive me Jen for that one).
Hey, when you say your son is trying to learn the skills of piano tuning to prepare for your grandchild; do you mean your son is trying to prevent your future grandson from being too "sharp" or if it's a girl, he hopes to avoid her from being too "flat". (awe forgive me again Jen). Now D, you have to realize this old guy is in the beer a little so you have to forgive me also.
Now you know D, I was once a rocker in my early days as well; but not nearly to the point you are. Back in the mid-sixties my older brother Rick and myself were in a band that played the top rock tunes of the day to include Hendrix, Clapton and others but only because Brother Rick taught himself how to become a fabulous guitarist for that era. Guitar players like him are a dime a dozen today but back in the mid-sixties he was far ahead of his time. We were too young back then to experience "sex, drugs, and rock-in-roll" but as I grew older and began playing country music I experienced "rejection, beer, and Waylon Jennings". Ha!!!
I hope you continue to make your music because creativity in any form is a good source of entertainment and accomplishment. I've learned over the year we all have our love of music whether anyone else loves our music or not. Keep at it Brother and good luck with your journey.

Thanks, OD! When I start playing, this is the stuff that comes out so I roll with it.

Would it work to write him in as a co-writer...hey presto, it's his own material. ? ?

That would work in theory but I think it's more that he's got the time booked for his own album. I'm not sure how that deal works.
"D"...... an update on your song. While at Saturday Night Bingo with the old fat ladies and old fat guys like me, one of them had a laptop so I brought your song up to play for them. My, you should have seen their reaction, a bunch of old people jumping up and down, body bumping with each other. One old gal was even going to attempt diving off the band stage into the crowd but she fell down instead when she threw away her walker. Good thing too because she was the largest one in the group. I wish someone had taken a video, it would go viral on Youtube. Maybe this coming Saturday night. I'll keep you posted. ?

Funny!
Sorry but I don't watch your link to your track!! It's me?
The bad part of the doubt is that it has no face
Mora, if you go back to the very top where "D" first posted. Under his first sentence he writes:
Joshua's Creed: The Divided States of America
It is not highlighted and doesn't look like a link but if you double click on it, you well open a Youtube channel with his guitar only version.
