Chords:

Cmaj7 332OOO
Am XO221O
F X33211
G7 32OOO1
G 32OOO3

I've been waiting for a woman with a gentle voice,
To tell me when I'm wrong.
I've been waiting for a woman with a gentle voice.
She never seemed to come along.
Then you came across the floor,
Said, "You don't have to wait anymore.
I'm the one, The woman you've been waiting for."

(V 2)
I've been waiting for a woman with a gentle touch,
To sooth me when I'm down.
I've been waiting for woman with a gentle touch.
She never seemed to come around.
Then you came across to me,
As one who just might be,
The one, The Woman I've Been Waiting For.

(Bridge)
You whisper in crowds, Intimately,
Whispering words, Just for me.
You wink and nod. You're so discreet,
Confidently assuring me,
You're the one, The Woman I've Been Waiting For.
Yeah, You're the one, The Woman I've Been Waiting For.

(V 3)
I've been waiting for a woman with a gentle way,
To ask me what I'm waiting for.
I've been waiting for a woman with a gentle way.
I'm not waiting anymore.
I hear you whispering,
"Come here. Sit close to me.
I'm the one, The woman you've been waiting for."
Yeah, You're the one, The Woman I've Been Waiting For.
Yeah, You're the one, The Woman I've Been Waiting For.

The first two women I told about this Song after I wrote it, heard the first Line, as I recited it, and each said, "I'll tell ya when you're wrong!"
I thought that two women had responded identically meant it had a special trigger for the female psyche. That alone could make it a hit. It looks long. I haven't timed it.

Despite 1,000's of years of Songwriting humans have not exhausted the possibilities. There will always be another Song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com

I've been waiting for a woman

With fiery red hair

A willful constitution

And a voice like Linda Blair... ?

"Be careful what you wish for; you might just get it!" Thomas Jefferson. LOL

She's a real head-turner.

Ha! "Head turner!" LOL...

Actually, in my experience, they’re all "sweet-n-gentle".... for about three days. Then they just can’t keep up the act! Then they max out your credit card and steal your car while complaining that men can’t be trusted! I think it’s better to meet women when they’re already in handcuffs.... saves time.
