Hey y'all. I had a lyric fragment pop into my head the other day. Aside from "Under my thumb" by the Rolling Stones -- you know, "Under my thumb, her eyes are just kept to herself. Under my thumb, well I, I can still look at someone else. It's down to me..." -- are there any other songs that you know of that use that phrase? I imagine there are. The fragment I want to use is
I'm over my head
And under your thumb
I imagine there are 1000s of songs that use the phrase "over my head" but are there any that use both together? Also, is it too cliche? I don't think those words would be the hook, just a couple lines in the chorus.
