Hi guys. I have sad news. John Evans is in hospital with covid-related pneumonia. He is having trouble breathing and desperately needs prayers. His wife, Caroline, is also fighting covid. She is still at home, but is in a bad way as well. Please pray for John and Caroline.

I saw this on Facebook, Jen and was so sorry to hear it. I'm not sure how much weight an amen from me would carry, but amen. Fervently hoping for a full and speedy recovery for both of them.

John is home!!! He's on oxygen, but he's well enough to be home. He posted an update:
I am home from the hospital, on an oxygen machine 24/7, and prescribed a series of steroids. I am feeling a little better and hopefully on a steady road to recovery. I have pneumonia so that is the biggest concern right now. My wife Caroline is also steadily improving, but my son Nicholas has taken a turn for the worse today. We are on Day 10 with COVID 19 and it has been the most devastating thing we've every gone through. Between the 4 of us we experienced every single symptom to it's extreme. My wife had a fever for 8 days! My sense of taste and smell is so messed up that all food tastes like poison. I can't eat anything. It all tastes wrong.
I saw some of the prayers you all posted online and am very thankful for them. It's very touching to see the outpouring of love and support. It means so much to us. I don't have the energy to reply to all of you but know that I am so thankful for you keeping us in your thoughts.
To the family members who have been dropping off meds and supplies on my doorstep daily, you are life savers! You really are and I cannot thank you enough for being there for us.

I had viral pneumonia once... it truly did feel like death. I can't imagine to what extreme covid would push that experience, especially knowing your whole family is suffering with it as well... Keep the faith friends! 🙂

Wow guys and gals. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. COVID affected my entire family. I spent one day in the hospital and had COVID pneumonia for a while but I fully recovered. My wife was in 4 different hospitals for a total of 71 days, 28 of which she spent unconscious on a ventilator. Although she survived and is home, she is still not fully recovered. She lost her hair, she cant walk very far or exert herself without getting out of breath, and her voice is permanently changed with a raspy tone that she cannot project very loud. The hair will grow back, but not sure how much improvement we can expect in the other areas.
There is so much controversy surrounding COVID 19, masks, vaccines, etc. All I can say is that if you get it, you never really know how it will affect you. Most people survive it with no problems. Others, like my wife are devastated by it or worse. It's a free country. People can do what they want. I just hope people educate themselves enough to make the decisions they feel are right for their family, which is why I share what happened to mine.

That is truly horrible John... there aren't any words...
Try not to get too distracted by all the BS politics my friend. The truth regarding the origins of this thing will eventually be known, and medicine will eventually catch up! Till then, remain faithful and take care of each other 🙂

As you know, I was following the progress on Facebook. Very worrying for a long time. Sorry to hear Caroline is still having such a tough time. Hoping her recovery continues and speeds up. So nice to see you back here.
