Hi there,
I more or less finished a new song. As in all of my songs the production can't live up to modern production standards. Anyway I'd really appreciate some honest feedback 🙂
It's a bit heavier and faster this time.
It's kind of an experiment also as I usually start writing a song with the vocal melody. This time I just had the drum track that I recorded over a year ago for a different song that I wasn't that convinced of anymore. So I deleted all the ideas I had and wrote a completely different song on top of that drum track. This time I started with guitars and after that I wrote the vocal melodies. That was actually a very interesting experiment for me because I didn't think this ways of writing would work for me.

I enjoyed this. Loved the kind of background echo vocals and the "Hey, hey." The interruption to the music for the spoken words took me by surprise, but it really works. A lot of imagination went into this arrangement. I'm impressed. 🙂
Interesting point about the starting point for a song. I can usually tell whether someone started with a melody or a riff. This has a very satisfying melody, even if it's not where you started.
