my 2 cents on it, and I heard the slow melody too with sum twanky guitar and steel
(Verse I)
Ain't it jus like her,
to wake me in time to see her go
coz She's a biker
they always ride away smilin and slow
Then I'll go runnin
fast as I can to say goodbye
To get that one last kiss,
To hear her say,
"I'll see you tonight."

That works JAPOV.
My version has a faster tempo. It's less of a ballad of love than a tribute of joy.
And my Melody goes up at the end of some Lines, in interrogative fashion. Often, when someone is asking a question their voice goes up toward the end. Dropping the voice low may miss delivery of those strategic Rhyme-Words to the listener's ear.

Despite 1,000's of years of Songwriting humans have not exhausted the possibilities. There will always be another Song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com
Very interesting to see several versions of a song. I like the JAPOV's version.
About the tempo (my version or JAPOV's) by changing the speed at 1.25 or 1.5 or even 2, the feeling is different.
I'd love to hear Gary's version.
Have fun!
