I heard the music when I read it, I could further it but it's yours, it says enough and it's pretty wicked
LOL, no need to be sorry, Tony. It's just the only way I know how to do this. I can't rock like you.

Yes, some lyrics are like that. They write the melody - you just have to listen for it.

Look, I'm an intelligent man, I can read. However, as I'm listening... I'm forced to visualize Big Bird singing this on Sesame Street! It's worse than Disney Porn! THIS IS HILARIOUSLY FUCKED UP!

My daughter worked at Sesame Street. I might have an in there. Big Bird with all the rest of them joining in on the chorus...

Well... I was thinking more along the lines of minor keyed "tinker bells" and Freddy Kruger lol

Not many minds would put those two together.

Someone over at JPF just said his wife overheard him playing this without being able to hear the words and thought it sounded like Mr. Rogers LOL. I must admit I was not expecting these comparisons with him and Big Bird.

on 2nd verse it's short 2 syllables Do you ever long to pull the touchy trigger

Strictly speaking you're right, Allfor, at least if you are going by syllable count, but not when you listen. That's why I hate the idea of slavishly counting syllables - it takes no account of the flexibility that a melody can offer. Sometimes, leaving a little air at the end of a line, or even in the middle, works, making it sound more natural and easier to sing. I totally get the idea of syllable count if you're only writing lyrics, but if you hear the melody in your head, you know what fits. 🙂
